New Features & Improvements for Subscribers

These features require a license. If you don’t already subscribe, you can get a temporary license for the features marked with an asterisk during the beta period by becoming a follower of this Faithlife group. The license will expire when v37 is released to the stable channel.

• Dynamic Toolbar*
  • Send to Charts is now an option in the send to menu in the Share tab.
  • Added support for hit results for inline searches in the dynamic toolbar.
  • Added the textual fields picker to inline search.
  • Added search match parameters to allow for chapter-level matching of search queries within a Bible.
• Get Started Wizard*
  • Updated icon for Original language button in the Get Started Wizard.
  • Layouts that open a Factbook panel will now open with the correct lens active.

Early Access Tweaks & Bug Fixes

• Bible Study Builder
  • Selecting Pin to Top for Bible Study Builder in the Tools menu will no longer create duplicate icons each time that option is selected.
  • Fixed an issue where the wrong Bible translation abbreviation was showing in the passage block in some circumstances.
  • Fixed an issue where users weren’t able to see a Bible Study document that was shared with them.
  • The Question Sidebar will now remain in its last-used state when the panel is closed and reopened.
  • In the Question Sidebar, only the first article of the first resource will now be expanded. All other resources and articles will be collapsed initially.
• Dashboard
  • Drag and drop capabilities have been turned off for the Get Started cards.
• Dynamic Toolbar
  • The parallel books picker will no longer falsely report that no parallel books are available.
  • The Factbook Tags button is now visible in supported non-Bible books. Thread & Thread.
• Factbook
  • The link to Biblical Event Navigator will now take you to the most specific event. Thread.
• Get Started Wizard
  • The Original Language layout will no longer open modern-Hebrew or modern-Greek translations.

Changes & Improvements

• Factbook
  • We will now show the lemma gloss in the autocomplete.
• First Run Dialog (shown immediately after installing for the first time)
  • The app can now be launched once the minimal resources and data sets required to run have been downloaded.
  • Additional resources and datasets will continue to download and index in the background if launched.
• Resource Panel
  • Initial sidebar width now accounts for program scaling.

Mac Bug Fixes

• Panels
  • Certain components in resource panels will no longer get stuck or be blank when switching tabs after changing monitors or resizing.

Windows Bug Fixes

• Touch Devices
  • Improved interactions for touch devices for certain components in the application, including the Dynamic Toolbar and popups throughout the application.
