Logos Windows Profiler Utility

This is not a “general purpose” diagnostic tool. Please only follow these instructions if a member of the Faithlife software development/testing team has directed you to this wiki page.

How to Report a Problem on Windows

Step 1: Download the Utility

This needs to be done before the profiler can work. It only needs to be done once.

1. Download the Logos Profiler Support zip file. When prompted, choose Save.

2. When the download finishes, click Open Folder.

3. Right-click the downloaded zip file and choose Properties on the context menu.

4. In the dialog that appears, check the Unblock checkbox, then click OK. (If there is no Unblock checkbox, then just click Cancel.)

5. Extract the zip file to your Downloads folder. The simplest way to do this is to right-click the downloaded zip file again, and choose Extract All…

6. In the dialog that appears, uncheck Show extracted files when complete then click Extract. Wait for the files to be extracted.

Step 2: How to Get the Log File

  • Launch Logos
  • Run the command Start Profiling in the Command Bar.
  • Replicate the behavior.
  • Run the command Stop Profiling in the Command Bar.
    • A window will open with a folder selected, and this folder is what you will want to send in for support.

Step 3: Submit the Problem

  • Email the following information to testing@faithlife.com:
    • Attach the zip folder with the logs created with the utility.
    • Provide a description of the problem.
    • Include steps to reproduce.
