Logos 4.5 Beta 5
Logos 4.5 Beta 5 (Mac and Windows v4.50.0.1336) was released on November 3, 2011.
New Features
- Licensing
- Logos 4 will check for newly unlocked resources while it is running. If automatic downloads are enabled, the resources will be downloaded once the unlock is detected. (See Known Issues.)
- Highlighting
- Implemented the ability to move a specific highlighting style from one custom palette to another. Note: This does not move any note items utilizing that style, even if the destination palette is assigned to a different note document than the originating palette. (See Known Issues.)

- Notes
- Implemented a “No color” option (white icon with a red slash) for note Background color drop-down.
Bug Fixes
- Biblical Thing
- Fixed crash caused by opening a Print/Export panel for a Biblical Thing with no illustrations, such as mina (Greek).
- Layouts
- Fixed bug that caused position in Note document not to save when creating a named Layout. (See this thread.)
- Localization
- Localized Rebuild Personal Book Index command for Spanish: Reconstruir Índice de libro personal.
- Localized untitled Palette/Style in Highlighting panel for Swedish and Spanish.
- Notes
- Fixed bug that caused ‘Sort by note color’ to ignore the indicator shape. Indicator shape is now a secondary sort when notes are sorted by color.
- Added an ‘auto’ option for Foreground color. (See Known Issues for Windows.)
- Sentence Diagram
- Fixed bug that caused extraneous lines to be displayed when copying and pasting diagram images into word processing or presentation documents. (See this thread.)
- Synchronization
- Fixed LockRecursionException error during sync. (See this thread.)
- Syntax Search Document
- Fixed crash caused by adding a term to the left of the original search term.
- Visual Filter document
- Change made to a style in the Highlighting panel is immediately reflected in the Visual Filter document and the Formatting drop-down list.

- Favorites
- Fixed crash caused by dragging a new, named folder (before hitting Enter to save the name) into another folder. (See this thread.)
- Help Panel
- Fixed bug that prevented scroll bar from appearing.
- Morph Search Panel
- Fixed bug that caused Morph search results not to display in Verses view without resizing the window. (See this thread.)
- Notes
- Fixed crash that could occur when adding new notes to a document in rapid succession.
- Fixed regression that prevented Notes document from automatically scrolling to the correct note when opening the document via clicking on a Note indicator in a resource. (See this thread.)
- Passage Guide
- Fixed crash caused by closing Passage Guide with open Topic or Illustrations section in ‘List’ view.
- Personal Books
- Fixed bug that caused ‘Open’ hyperlink to be truncated at larger text sizes.
- Prayer List
- New prayer items will now open expanded with the focus on the Prayer name box. (See Known Issues.)
- Syntax Search panel
- Fixed bug that prevented the update of the resource title displayed in parentheses next to Query type (e.g., Subject, Object, etc.) after the ‘Search in’ resource was changed.

- Fonts
- Fixed bug that prevented application of changes to Greek, Hebrew, and Syriac default fonts in Program Settings.
- Highlighting
- Fixed regression that prevented the panel from automatically scrolling to the new location of a renamed palette.
- Notes
- Fixed bug that did not automatically open a new note with an insertion point when the Note document was in Compact view.
- Fixed bug that did not clear focus from the rich text editor bar when clicking elsewhere inside the panel that did not receive its own explicit focus (like editing the title of a note.)
- Visual Filters
- Fixed bug that caused the text in the ‘Find’ box to be truncated when the text slider for the panel was set to a very large size.
Known Issues
- Highlighting
- Moving a style to another palette removes the original palette if that was its only style.
- Licensing
- If the Logos 4 Indexer is currently running when a new resource is unlocked, the app may need to be restarted to begin the resource download and installation.
- Prayer List
- New Prayer Lists will initially open with one collapsed item.
- Resource Panel
- Inline Footnotes
- Right-to-left original language text can overlap with footnote text.
Known Issues for Windows
- Notes
- Hyperlinks will be correctly auto-detected, but the color of the link will not correctly update unless the Foreground color is set to ‘Auto’. Following the hyperlink, the Foreground color will return to ‘Auto’ even if the Foreground color is set to another color.
