New Features

• Gestures implemented for Logos 4. Click on right mouse button and drag in the directions indicated below to initiate various functions.
  • left = Go Back
  • right = Go Forward
  • up = Previous Article
  • down = Next Article
  • down, right = Close Tab (See Known Issues.)
  • down, up = New Tab
  • “C” shape = Toggle Contents Pane on or off
  • “star” shape = Add to Favorites (try this: up right, down right, up left, right, down left)
  • up/right diagonal = Full Screen Mode
  • down/left diagonal = Escape Full Screen Mode
  • down/right, down/left (right angle bracket or ‘greater than’) = Start Read Aloud (See Known Issues.)
  • square (down, right, up, left) = Stop Read Aloud

• Print/Export
  • Graph Bible Search Results print/export implemented. (See known issue below.)
  • Highlighting panel can be printed or exported to XPS Document.
  • When printing a Reading Plan that is in Calendar view, the calendars are printed.

• Sentence Diagram
  • Implemented Settings/Preferences.
    • The following settings are saved globally:
      • Insert passage type
      • Show page guides
      • Always show shape handles
      • Default text/line styles
    • The following settings are saved per document:
      • Page size
      • Page orientation
      • Use informal lines
      • Text display mode
      • RTL shape insertion
  • Inserted passages from Hebrew text break on word number.
  • Text Alignment options (Left, Center, Right) are available on ‘Text’ drop-down.

Bug Fixes

• Favorites
  • Bookmark shortcuts will now work when cursor is in a rich text editor box, such as a note. (http://community.logos.com/forums/t/21586.aspx)
• Home Page
  • The home page should automatically try to reload the RSS feeds (ignoring the local cache) if they fail to load the first time. (http://community.logos.com/forums/t/20832.aspx)
• Notes
  • Clicking scrollbar in an expanded note no longer collapses the active note. (http://community.logos.com/forums/t/20971.aspx)
  • Improved look of selected notes. (http://community.logos.com/forums/t/20997.aspx)
  • Fixed crash (NullReferenceException) when adding a note via right-click context menu. (http://community.logos.com/forums/t/21430.aspx and http://community.logos.com/forums/t/21530.aspx)
• Passage List
  • Fixed crash (NullReferenceException) when opening Passage List document with an empty Resources box. (http://community.logos.com/forums/t/21499.aspx)
• Print/Export
  • Biblical Places images will appear on the same page as the title.
  • Fixed clipping of most images in preview and RTF export.
  • Improved appearance of BWS Translation section export to RTF with ‘Print as exported’ selected.
  • Improved layout of resource list in Tags or Cloud view from Passage Guide Topics section when exported to Text format.
  • Increased size of icon next to person description in Biblical People export.
  • Media resource image is exported at correct size.
  • Preview now hides, rather than zooming away, before new preview appears due to page size or orientation change.

  • Clause Visualizers, with a period in their titles, will be exported with an underline in place of the period in the filename.
  • Collapsed guide sections are omitted from export with ‘Print as exported’ checked.
  • Exported guide headers look more like the actual view in the guide.
  • Improved appearance of the Passage Guide Topics image in Tags view when exported.
  • Improved export of certain Guide sections, such as Handout (notes only), Biblical People/Places/Things, Media Resources, Music, Topics, and Definition.
  • Removed scrollbar from Text Comparison WYSIWYG printing. (See known issues.)
• Search
  • Vertical scrollbar is now available in Basic Search when limiting resources to a Collection or search fields to Surface Text. (http://community.logos.com/forums/t/21341.aspx)
• Sentence Diagram
  • Added a new highlight color to shapes and text that are both selected and being hovered.
  • Fixed crash (ArgumentOutOfRangeException) when right-click is performed while dragging text in a text flow diagram to a new position. (http://community.logos.com/forums/t/21310.aspx)
  • Font sizes are listed as points rather than percentages.
  • Improved RTL button style.
  • RTL wrapping columns are now importing correctly.

Known Issues

• The application will crash at startup in non-English locales.
• Bible Word Study
  • The ‘Hebrew Words’ ring graph does not display the English glosses.
• Gestures
  • Close Tab gesture (down, right) does not work in a floating panel. (New)
  • Starting Read Aloud using gesture does not open Audio Bar on main toolbar. (New)
• Print/Export
  • Filenames with periods will not be saved properly. Workaround: remove period before saving. (No longer applies to export of Clause Visualizer resources.)
  • Graph Bible Search Results images can be clipped. (New)
  • It is possible for text to be split between pages in Text Comparison WYSIWYG printing. (New)
• Reading Plan
  • The M’Cheyne plan locks to January 1 of the selected year. A workaround is to use the ‘Adjust plan from here’ option, although the date in settings will remain ‘Jan 1’.
• Sentence Diagramming
  • Alternate text insertion has been temporarily disabled in Beta 8. (New)
  • Wrapping columns do not always scroll outside of the document properly.
