Logos 4.5 Beta 8 (Mac and Windows v4.50.0.1543) was released on November 30, 2011.

- Added Base Package information to the ‘About Logos Bible Software’ dialog which will display the largest package licensed to the current user. (See Known Issues.)
- Highlighting tool
- Altered behavior of ‘Erase’ button. Associated note items with no content will be deleted. Associated note items with content will be set to ‘No highlight’.

- Added context menu support for Expand/Collapse (All) in Cited By, Explorer and Search panels.
- Font Scaling
- Added scaling support for the Clippings panel.
- Passage List
- Implemented reference box at the bottom of the list of passages.

- Highlighting tool
- Fixed bug preventing the ability to drag and drop the ‘Annotation added to’ hyperlink at the bottom of the panel.

- Fixed bug which prevented a usable Reading Plan from being created using the ‘Start Today’ link in the Home Page ribbon.

- Improved logic for footnote on page content to reduce the number of unwanted footnotes.

- Fixed bug that collapsed active note when clicking the scroll bar or scrolling in the document. (See this thread.)
- Fixed bug that did not save changes to title/contents when deleting text if focus was immediately moved to another note item or the Esc key was hit to clear the focus.
- Fixed bug that prevented the excerpt in the title field from being updated if the annotation was edited to remove the beginning/end of the selected range.

- Fixed erroneous ‘Could not remove existing resource’ error for a customer document.

- Fixed color picker in ‘Font Styling’ section of edit view to include ‘Automatic’ option.
- Fixed bug that did not dismiss the palette menu and ‘Save In’ sub menu when a document name was selected.

- Fixed bug that allowed bullets/numbering and multiple paragraphs in the title field. Alignment buttons, bullets/numbering buttons, indent buttons, and multiple paragraphs are now disabled when focus is on the title field.

- Improved scrolling between a Bible and the Text Comparison tool when both a set to a lettered link set.

- Notes
- Fixed bug that caused automatic hyperlinks and the text following them to only display correctly when the foreground color was set to ‘Automatic’.
- Fixed a crash when pasting specific content into a note. (See this thread.)
- Fixed bug that caused text to be invisible when foreground color was specifically set to ‘Automatic’.
- Passage Guide
- Fixed crash caused by an out of memory exception when running a report for a specific verse with an associated handout populating in the guide.
