Logos 4.5 Beta 4 (Mac and Windows v4.50.0.1275) was released on October 27, 2011.

- Notes
- Implemented a “No color” option (white icon with a red slash) for note Background color drop-down. (Not yet available for Mac version.)
- Additional performance improvements for adding new notes.
- Some UI performance improvements on both Mac and Windows.
Bug Fixes
- Exegetical Guide
- Fixed crash that could occur when printing or exporting a Word by Word section with certain resources selected. (See this thread.)
- Highlighting
- Fixed bug that caused scrollbar to be missing from the style editor. (See this thread.)
- Notes
- Changed the “No indicator” icon (gray color) to the “No color” style (white with a red slash).
- Fixed crash that could occur when Indenting a note. (See this thread.)
- Fixed crash when opening Note documents caused by a corrupt Default Notes Text Size setting. (See this thread.)
- “Sort by note color” will sort note indicator colors according to their order in the color palette (top-to-bottom, left-to-right).
- Passage List
- Fixed crash when attempting to save a search on a Greek lemma in “Classics” as a Passage List. (See this thread.)
- Search
- Fixed bug that caused a search of “The Apostolic Fathers Greek-English Interlinear” to return no hits. (see this thread) NOTE: The resource will need to be reindexed, which will happen the next time it’s updated.
Bug Fixes for Mac
- Highlighting
- Fixed crash when applying a shortcut key to a highlighting style.
- Notes
- Fixed crash when scrolling a note document on a Mac with Lion installed. (See this thread.)
- Notes/Highlighting
- Deleting a Notes document from the File menu will update the list of available note files on the Highlighting tool Palette menu. (See Known Issues for Mac.)
- Passage List
- Fixed bug that prevented passages being added from ‘selected text’ or ‘highlighter style’ (with text that contains passages references).
- Fixed bug when scrolling in a Passage List that caused part or all of the panel to be blank. (See this thread.) (See Known Issues for Mac.)
- Visual Filters document
- Fixed bug that prevented text entry in the “New reference range” and “Range title” boxes on the All Passages drop-down (when Bible or Morph Search is selected). (See this thread.)
Known Issues
- Highlighting
- The import highlighting command (and related commands) will not import highlighting (from Libronix DLS 3).
- Resource panel
- Inline footnotes
- Biblical cross references and abbreviations appear in footnote region.
- If footnote content doesn’t flow to subsequent pages, some content may be missing from footnote region if it doesn’t fit.
- Hidden references (those in collapsible sections or hidden by visual filters like ‘Bible text only’) still have their footnotes shown on page.
Known Issues for Mac
- Font scaling
- Text size changes, using the text slider in Basic and Bible Search panels, may hang the program.
- Notes/Highlighting
- If a deleted Notes document was selected on the Palette menu prior to deletion, it will still appear as selected on the menu; however, when a highlight is applied the note will be added to the “Palette specific note file.”
- Passage List
- If a Passage List document is set to Full view, it cannot be changed to Compact view; if it is set to Compact view it cannot be changed to Full view.
Known Issues for Windows
- Highlighting
- Panel does not scroll to renamed palette’s new position.
- Notes
- Pressing “Esc” in an active note will defocus, but not collapse the note.
