Indexing can take from six hours and up

Yes, indexing will take a long time, however, indexing seems to be stopping whenever your mac goes to sleep. There is a program, called Caffeine which will prevent your mac from going to sleep. This will allow you machine to index all night. You can download Caffeine here.

Home page and ribbon bar is empty

The home page was fixed at version 4.0 SR-2 (4.10.4.6199) if problems appear in later versions please post to the forum.

The Exegetical and Passage Guides are missing key components

The Exegetical and Passage guides have not been completed yet, so there are sections which do not populate with any information.

Program preferences is blank

The program preference pane has not been completed yet, so as of Alpha 8 there are no user amendable preferences.
